Makes you wonder how many (other) vendors have equipment that might have the same things, but there hasn't been any analysis...

Likely has nothing to do with the vendor and more has to do with the
Chinese manufacturers. For what that's worth. No idea if any vendors
actually validate against a reference design when they order devices
manufactured. Honestly I don't even know if Intel does before they send
reference designs to other manufacturers.
